I think we have gotten closer to our objective. I am attaching the internal report that my associate, Ms. Coyito Martínez, has given me today on the search that she has been performing at the local office of the federal mining agency. As you will see on page 4 of her report, she did found, within a mining region that used to be known as "La Sultana" (near the "Cerro Prieto" hill), an old, cancelled mining concession called "M. Giroux title 11325". That mining concession, and others that together formed the "La Sultana" mining region, was issued in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Apparently, the "M. Giroux" concession, together with the other concessions that formed the "La Sultana" mining region, were at some point in time cancelled by the Mexican government, for reasons that we have not determined. Apparently, the current owner of this mining property is a Mexican company called "Minera Crestón S.A. de C.V."

My associate will now focus her search on this "M. Giroux" mining title. She will go back on the mining agency on Monday.

I am also attaching our statement as of today, showing the amount of time that we have spent so far and the total fees generated so far ($2,112.50 US).

I think we have made important progress. Today we finally located, with the help of the local office of the federal mining agency, two files pertaining to two different "La Sultana" mining properties located in Sonora, one of which appears to be close to a mountain called "Cerro Prieto". It is located in the municipality of Rayón. The other one is in the municipality of Herrmosillo. Also, there might be even other "La Sultana" mining properties in Sonora. However, we will try to focus on finding the one you are interested in, of course.

My associate will go back tomorrow to continue digging into the files and system of the mining agency. As soon as I have a more complete report, I will get back to you.

Yes, our firm could undertake a posssible lawsuit against the mining corporation that you mention. However, I would need more information about such lawsuit, namely (i) what would be the factual basis/background for the lawsuit, (ii) would would the plaintiff be seeking through the lawsuit, (iii) copies of any and all documents and files regarding this dispute, and (iv) any other information about the matter.

Yes, I could and would draft an engagement letter/agreement for this undertaking.

Without know the details about the lawsuit, it is not possible for me to give you a responsible, reliable time and cost estimate. However, a retainer for the preparation and filing of a mining lawsuit by this firm is no less than $7,000 US.

Please consider that $7,000 US would be a retainer only for the preparation and filing of the lawsuit, and NOT FOR THE ENTIRE LITIGATION. The cost of the entire litigation would be much more, depending on several factors that at this point I cannot assess without more detailed information. In any event, however, the entire cost would be at least $50,000 US.
