OK listen mate! I really do not know what the hell are you TALKING about. I am tahitian and I totally DISAGREE with you. It is true that bad things happened in the past BUT it is completely absurd to say that we have been kind of exploited by the french governement. I don't know if you live in tahiti but I do (not at the moment 'cos I'm studying overseas) and I do not see anything about what you have speculated. And, PLEASE, there is NO French Imperalism in Tahiti. It is true that tahitian people voted for the political party who would like the independance of our islands. But, at the moment, the independance and what french people did before is not the ISSUE. Tahitians just wanted changes and I stongly think that the previous government lost due to one of the law included in the new status regarding the repartition of the seats in the assembly. That is it!!!So mate get lost and do not speculate about things that you don't even know.
For people who have read Hater's message, please, do not pay attention of what he/she wrote. Once more, the independance is completely NOT the issue....
